The AHA’s ECG Course has been updated to reflect the current AHA Guidelines for CPR and ECC. This classroom-based, Facilitator-led course is designed to improve electrocardiogram (ECG) recognition skills.
This course is for healthcare professionals who participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, and others who require this specialized knowledge for their job. This course is also designed for healthcare students to learn basic ECG interpretation
Student will label the major internal and external structures of the heart; describe the major functions of the cardiovascular system. Identify the five types of blood vessels, label the electrical conduction of the heart and read a standard ECG rhythm strip. Describe and identify ECG characteristics of Sinus Rhythms, Atrial Rhythms, Junctional Rhythms, Ventricular Rhythms, Atrioventricular, AV Blocks, different components of Pacemaker Rhythm.You will receive an ECG handout and certificate.
